At Hunstanton Dog Boarding, dogs aren’t just welcome — they’re family. We offer a fully licensed, insured, and kennel-free home-from-home dog boarding experience right here in beautiful Hunstanton, just a short walk from the beach and Recreation Ground.
Our story began in Hertford in 2019 following the grant of our first 5* licence, when our passion for dogs and a few trusted referrals quickly grew into a thriving home boarding business. Over the years, we’ve welcomed over 100 doggy guests and built a community of loyal pawrents — many of whom still travel to meet us halfway in Ely when heading off on holiday. That kind of trust means everything to us.
In 2023, after countless weekends spent enjoying the peace and beauty of North Norfolk, we made the move to Hunstanton. We found a spacious home on one of the town’s loveliest streets and knew it would be perfect for our boys and their future furry friends. Since then, our dream of living by the sea and offering dogs a calm, relaxed lifestyle has become a reality.
We’re Sue and Nick — proud pawrents to Benny, Bruce, and Clarence. We don’t have children; our dogs are our kids, and always will be. Our deep love for dogs is the heart of everything we do. We even had Benny and Bruce as our flower dogs at our wedding in 2018!
After going through some challenging chapters in life, we found each other in 2009 and built the life we’d always hoped for — filled with long beach walks, big skies, wagging tails and the unconditional love only dogs can give.
With over five years of professional boarding experience, a 5★ Higher Standard licence issued by King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Council (Licence No. 23/00836/AA_NEW), full insurance, and qualifications in Canine First Aid, you can be confident your dog is in safe and loving hands.
We believe dogs thrive when they feel part of the pack — that’s why there are no kennels here. Our guests stay in our home and follow the same comforting routines as our own dogs. Whether they’re snuggled up on the sofa, pottering in the garden, playing with new friends or heading out for a scenic walk, they’ll enjoy a holiday of their own, full of care and companionship.
We’re located close to fantastic local walking spots, including the Hunstanton Recreation Ground and scenic coastal paths. For a real adventure, we often head to Brancaster beach — a dog’s paradise — in our spacious Ford Transit, where Benny rides co-pilot as standard.
We treat every dog as an individual, taking the time to get to know their routines, preferences and personality. From playful pups to senior snoozers, nervous newcomers to confident explorers — all are welcomed with love, patience and plenty of belly rubs.
Our Hertfordshire clients continue to use our services years later, meeting us halfway or making the journey to Norfolk because they know their dogs are cared for just as they would be at home. That ongoing trust is the foundation of our work.
We love welcoming new pawrents and showing them what makes Hunstanton Dog Boarding such a special place. Whether you’re planning a short break or a long holiday, we’d be delighted to chat, answer your questions, and see if we’re the right fit for your dog.
Your dog deserves more than a kennel — they deserve a second home.
